As it is applied to the underarm at night, its triple-action technology contains three unique layers of protection: prescription strength wetness protection, skin soothing conditioners and odor-fighting capsules.

The first layer of Secret Clinical Strength protection is clinically proven prescription strength wetness protection. Perspiration in the underarm grabs and dissolves the antiperspirant particles on the skin, pulling them into the pores and forming superficial plugs just below the surface of the skin. These plugs last at least 24 hours and help reduce the flow of perspiration and wash away over time. Secret Clinical Strength was designed to be used at night to take advantage of your body’s natural temperature variations. During the day, when your body’s natural temperature is higher, your sweat rate is faster and less controlled. As sweat comes to the surface, it dilutes the antiperspirant particles on the skin, pulling less antiperspirant into the duct, and forms a less effective plug. At night, while the body’s at rest, the sweating mechanism slows down and becomes more controlled. As a result, more antiperspirant is pulled into the duct and forms a more effective plug.

The prescription strength wetness protection of Secret Clinical Strength was tested in two clinical studies. Secret Clinical Strength demonstrated statistically similar efficacy to a prescription strength underarm product in both clinicals.

The second layer of Secret Clinical Strength protection is made up of skin soothing conditioners. While providing prescription strength wetness protection, Secret Clinical Strength also contains skin soothing conditioners that help keep your underarms feeling smooth and healthy.

The third layer of Secret Clinical Strength protection is odor-fighting capsules that absorb odor and release scent all day to keep you smelling clean and fresh. Secret Clinical Strength contains odor-fighting capsules that absorb odor and then release a light scent. The scent is encapsulated into the odor-fighting molecule. When the odor-fighting molecule comes in contact with water it will absorb the odor and release the scent.

When perspiration is present in the underarm, the odor-fighting capsules absorb the odor and release scent, to keep you smelling clean and fresh.
